Kirk Fletcher Biography

Kirk was born December 23, 1975 in Bellflower CA. Son of a Pentacostal preacher in Compton Ca. Kirk picked up the guitar early, listening to his older brother Walter play guitar. Also at night if not gigging I’d see player’s like, now close friend Mike Landau play at the Mint in L.A. Then I started to get into the blues more and more. Alittle while later Kirk met bluesman Al Blake and Jr. Watson. The next five or so year’s were nothing but traditionol blues from the 30’s to the 60’s. Kirk feel’s this deep obbsession with the blues gave his playing more substance and foundation. This led to playing with some of the best in the business, Lynwood Slim, Janiva Magness, Hollywood Fat’s band, Kim Wilson, Member’s of Muddy Water’s band, James Cotten, Rusty Zinn, Hubert Sumlin, Charlie Musselwhite, Ford Brother’s, Nappy Brown, Tail Dragger, Phillip Walker, Fabulous Thunderbirds, James Harman, Mike Landau, Robben Ford, Larry Carlton and so many more.
