Born on January 4, 1969, in Denver, Colorado, Corey Harris is a contemporary blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter known for blending traditional Delta blues with reggae, African music, and modern roots styles. Harris has earned acclaim for his ability to honor the history of blues while pushing its boundaries, connecting the genre to global musical traditions.
Harris first gained recognition in the early 1990s with albums like Between Midnight and Day (1995) and Fish Ain’t Bitin’ (1997), showcasing his raw guitar work, storytelling prowess, and deep knowledge of blues history.
